Thread: Feedback/ Advice needed please.....

Hi guys
As the title says i`m looking for some feedback and advise. ( sorry its a long 1)
I`ll probably get mixed up a bit but here goes...... We booked a return transfer from dalaman
to marmaris with a certain transfer company, received an email confirming our booking and telling us to pay them when they came to our hotel the next day and discuss other excursions
All great I thought !
We came out of dalaman airport and saw our name on a card, phew what a relief, then the fun started !
We were escorted to a minibus, cases placed in the rear and asked for payment ? I explained to them our email about paying in the morning was told NO pay now ! We had no choice so we did
we then had to wait for 12 others even tho on their website it said it would be a private transfer !
Oh it was even a third party mini bus and not the company we booked with too !
Arrived at our hotel cases removed and they drove off , no note with our return collection time or any other info !! oh dear ( or similar) i thought !
Woke up next morning (monday)went to reception at the time they stated, waited for over an hour and no 1 turned up, Tues went to reception got their number off internet and rang up for
our return info , was told they would ring or fax on friday
Friday came and went NOTHING , rang ALL day sat no answer. Late sat aft we saw another couple off the minibus and they gave us the info of the third party travel company that piced us up
we rang them up and they told us our collection time , phew again i thought
Now it gets scary got picked up at 19.20 off to airport with a final LATEST check in time at 20.40!!!!!!!! Off we went , picked up 3 more on route then the driver pulled in to the bloody coach stop ! I showed the driver our time for check in and his faced dropped ! ( oh dear ) was my thought ! He set off at mach 1 all credit to him he was shifting and we was panicing , allsorts running thu our heads , there was NO WAY we would make it on time and we didn`t ,
I snatched the cases gave the driver a tenner ( our money) and ran like ****
As luck had it our flight was still open !!!! BIG PHEW !!

They ruined our holiday , We could not sleep with worry and wasted loads of time chasing them up and that final taxi ride was not fun !
Now this is where i need advice , what do i do about the travel company i booked with ?

pls meet with our guide next day after you arrive (18-7-2010) 11 oclock in the morning at the reception so our guide can collect the transfer money
and give you information about daily excursions you may like to do..pls check our website www.*****.com for excursions
ps we will e mail you a week before you fly to confirm it again..

I thought i was booking a private transfer , I dont want to say who it is yet but I really am gonna lay into them , they never told us to ring them but I tried and still nothing ,

POST UP YOUR EXPERIENCES on the various Travel web sites like Trip Advisor, and IGOUGO and on forusm - see if your not the only one! Hope it didnt spoil you holiday over all here in Sunny Turkey!
