I told Maura about first choice and thomson pulling out of some of the hotels and i know this is the truth because my Dad works with the managers of these airlines, as they have only just found out about the beach front being demolished because know one told them, so it won’t be on their website straight away. They’ve already refunded alot of people as it makes them look bad. For examaple Club Nergis beach most people stay there because of the location they’re pulling out of this because if they didn’t they would be selling their customers something that isn’t there anymore.
kelly your dad might work there its fine but how come they can stop about one beach demoleshıng ? ıs your dad working company bring to all costumer for beach front? or for marmaris?
He works for and with the bosses of First choice and Thomson airways. They go to hotels all over Marmaris
If they have already refunded people it should be on there website now so other people wont book Club Nergis as it is still selling holidays for there today!!
hey bobby thank you for your private mail apologising.i am only telling wot people are telling me from marmaris and thank you kelly for standing by me on this,and yes it was kelly that privcate mailed me on this matter this morning.i think you cud have chose your words better as i dont go on to tell lies i love marmaris and i know it is more than just the beach front but i have my reasons for going there as it is my daughters 18th birthday when we are there and i do not want her going 2 bar street as i do not think it very safe 2 let her go with just her friend so the clubs on the beach front wud have been ideal.people ask me wot i know and i can only tell wot i am being told from friends in marmaris.i have told people that they will enjoy it anyway but everybody has their own reasons for liking marmaris.i am not taking offence bovvy but i wud appreciate u removing wot u have wrote high lighting my nane because it makes me look like i am a liar who doesnt want people going 2 marmaris when in fact i have encouraged lots of people 2 book marmaris from ireland.

It was not just Marmaris that was quieter..lots of other countries were also due to the recession. Hotels have closed in Spain Tenerife Greece and probably more will not be full again this year.
actually its not finished, theres still gonna be two clubs on the beach front, infinity and cheers bar, that havnt been knocked down. there is also bar street. theres plenty of clubs to go around for us young ones. and also, only a small part has been demolished, only from captain karaoke to baran karaoke have been destroyed, thats only some clubs and restaurants, marmaris is a big place, there is more to do than just them few bars that have gone!! and also, alot of travel agencies here are encouraging people to go to marmaris. its one of the few popular holiday places that still use their own currency other than euro, so its not going to bankrupt us all when we go out and buy food and drinks.
i think alot of people will still go to marmaris and other places in turkey for that reason alone!!
and also if they are gonna build another club on the beach front, then surely thats a good new change? marmaris has been the same for the 12 years ive been going, and of course i am sad about the clubs on beach front not being there anymore, cos i dont like bar street. but im not bothered because it might just change for the better you just dont know untill its finished.
but what i dont get is, alot of people who live in marmaris live down the marina end dont they, i dont think many people actually live ON the beach front, so it doesnt make sense to me why theyve got all the clubs in bar street n none on the front, but oh well. cest la vie.

İ live in Marmaris not all the bars have been pulled down on the beach front only a few. Also there are many many small bars and restaurants all over Marmaris with great atmospheres and child friendly attitudes. İts not the whole of the beach front either. İ think in a way Marmarissummer is a bit responsible for a lot of people panicing because of some of the storys you ran earlier on with SHOCK headlines about the end of Marmaris and the beach front. İ understand you now are trying to correct this but maybe you should really think carefully before you write storys that will scare people. İ do love the other storys you write about things going on in Marmaris though like the bikers and the weather xx

ok all bars from captains to baran knocked down except turtle.like people say there are plenty of other places to drink,i’ve been going to marmaris for 17 years and seen it change ,but this demolition has been a disaster.a lot of people liked long beach cause they could sit & have a drink ,listen to the music, without going to bar street. last year when the bars wre told to withdraw the sunbeds the beach was a shit heap ( thats putting it mildly) , i didnt even put a foot on the beach for the first time in 17 years. i will be back in sept not for the beach but to see the friends i have made in the past.
Well atleast i hope they renew the beach front with new bars and clubs because the beach has so much potential for outgoing people. Iself liked beachclub the most, upstairs louncheroom outdoors enjoiing the beach and marmaris view at night. Bar street closes up to early and is really expensive. I would find it very dissapointing if they leave beach front untouched after demolishing.

BAR STREET IS DANGEROUS??? common people, its not more dangerous then longbeach, your own hometown-club or crossing a street if u act normal, we come there for MANY MANY years and i loved BAR-X before going to barstreet, we will sure mis it, so this year its gonna be straight to barstreet…lol
and for those who was reading that BAR-X maybe buying “R&B CLUB MANGO” in barstreet, its NOT true, “R&B CLUB MANGO” will NOT be sold. so DONT stay away just because there r no clubs at longbeach or thinking that barstreet is dangerous, theres lots more to do and to see, see you all in marmaris summer 2010
I have been reading the comments left by many people concerned and now am going to leave my thoughts about the rumours. I have been going to Marmaris for nearly 5 years now and for the last 2 years i’ve spent nearly 12 weeks a year there, spending most of my time in cream . I have been to many parts of turkey but also return to Marmaris .For those of you that go for the night life a few bars have been destroyed but the people are still there .Marmaris is one of the nicest places I have visited .There’s so much more to do and see .
There’s boat trips, Turkish nights ,bar street .Let me tell you about bar street for those who haven’t been I haven’t seen much trouble but like every else you will always get a drunken idiot but this is life and weather you go Spain ,Greece even here in England there’s always one or a group that will have one 2 many.You could avoid Marmaris for this, but what will it achieve, people relay on the trade .It wont matter if its a busy season or quite season Turkish people will make sure you have a good holiday . If your like me I return because of friendship because I have many Turkish brothers there, and my mum has many Turkish sons .It wont matter to me about a few bars are gonna be gone the same people will be there and you make your holiday your own.
If its your first time in Marmaris don’t believe what you read I will speak the truth .Keep an open mind you wont be disappointed.I hope this helps
